shipping with the brown truck
-
I don’t know if its just my bad luck or not, but I got another package that the box was destroyed and some of my order was not in it. (Remember the grinder Jonathon). Waltons took care of me and I thank them for their great customer service. After talking to the UPS guy, he said they are having a ton of trouble with packages being smashed, ripped open, and on and on. I don’t know if there is another option like FedEx or if they are to expensive. The driver did say Waltons do a great job of packaging, so he knows its on their end.

kyle I had the same issue with my recent order. When I was tracking order it told me pkg was being returned to sender because it was damaged. The next day it showed up and box was completely smashed.Nothing inside was damaged though

I’ve never had an issue with any of my shipments from Walton’s. I’m guessing somewhere in the process after leaving Walton’s it got screwed up. I had some packages delivered UPS the other day when it was raining, and rather than putting it under the covered part of my porch they just left it at the bottom of the 2 steps out in the rain.

Tex_77 to be clear, I don’t blame Waltons at all. I feel bad tho when I have call them because someone else has screwed up. The brown truck driver said most damage is done in their sorting warehouse.

Wait for Joe Hell to chime in here! Joe, feel free to share that pic you sent me! And thank you for making it clear kyle that you are frustrated withUPS and not Walton’s we do our best but once something leaves here it is out of our hands. We can pack it a little extra but if it gets kicked around there is not much that some extra cushions will do. Just wait for Joes pic!
and one more thing Kyle, and I hate to say this, but we find that UPS issues in an area TEND to repeat themselves!

Chef Yup! It seems to be an issue with specific employees or facilities!

Jonathon I wonder if PapaSop has issues. He lives a couple hours south of me in the great state of Wisconsin. I am very thankful for the help your costumer service gives. And the help you gave me with the grinder was above and beyond what most companies would do. I’m a Waltons customer for life.

I guess I’m lucky im close and my products aren’t handled as much as many peoples are.
-
Here in Arizona, I usually place orders every other month and never had a problem. The orders ship fast and packaged with heavy duty cardboard.
-
Jonathon Lol…I’m pretty sure UPS hates me! Nearly every order lately arrives beat the hell up. With exception of a vac bag order that didn’t arrive because UPS lost the contents we have had very little loss and nothing that called for outright replacement. Are boxes supposed to be round? USPS has also had it out for me lately and completely destroyed a couple packages from Chef

Joe Hell do you think maybe Team Orange has something to do with it?
-
Tex_77 now that you mention it…

Look about the same as pkg I got.I also do not blame waltons at all.In fact if it wasn’t packed so well the contents would not have survived

We have lots of the same problems with them but seem to be good with the fedx
-
tarp FedEx I hear more about but we don’t generally ship them. It does often seem to be fed ex though when people post their door bell camera videos though!

kyle
Never had an issue, not even a wrinkle… Oh boy, now I jinxed it. -
Jonathon The only issue I have with FedEx is that the package is always delayed by 1-3 days from the scheduled delivery even though the tracking will indicate otherwise.
-
Joe Hell that’s because they delay it outside of Salt Lake City to change trailers and loose the tags. At first I thought the Long Haul driver had a girl friend there.

johnsbrewhouse When I track my FedEx shipments I’m surprised by the high number of locations that it passes through to towns of a few hundred people and other that barely dot the map. The other carriers are shipping hundreds of miles away from these locations at times so I understand the angle. My packages initially arrive within 4 hours from my location then will be held at a smaller facility 45 minute down the road before transferring to another 2 hours from there before making the 75 minute journey to its destination. It’s generally a 2-3 day delay. UPS on the other hand accepts my packages and will show few updates until they attempt a delivery on a day I can’t receive it several days in advance. Lol
