Instructions Follow instructions for How to make Hotdogs(https://meatgistics.waltonsinc.com/topic/180/how-to-make-homemade-hot-dogs-recipe). Grill hotdogs until they reach the desired level of doneness. Some heat from the hotdog will slightly melt the Peanut Butter and Jelly. Spread the desired amount of Peanut Butter and Jelly on either side of the bun. Disaster rating:
Sausage Stuffer (if you are making hotdogs yourself)
Grill/Smoker or OvenIf you watch the video you can see it on my face (and the words I was saying!) that this was going to be a huge disaster in my mind. It is the exact and complete opposite! The sweetness of the jelly and the creaminess of the peanut butter makes the hot dog even better. I’m really crazily surprised by this and Patrick agreed with me. I recommend everyone tries this at least once in your life!

Disaster rating: 1-10 where 10 is the worst“This was not a disaster at all!!!” said Jonathon. This would be a 1 on the scale because Jonathon and Austin actually liked it. If you are a fan of horseradish this is a brat flavor you should try!!!

Gummy Bear Brat!
In this segment we take big swings at recipes that could either be amazing or disgusting! Today we are taking a classic and putting a new spin on it, get ready for Gummy Bear Brat!
Prep Time20-30 Minutes
Cook TimeUntil Internal Temperature was 165 Degrees
IngredientsBrats
Utensils Needed
Buns
Gummy BearsMeat Grinder
Instructions
Sausage Stuffer
Grill/Smoker or Oven
Feel Free to Mix by HandMake your sausage how you would normally go about it. And just add your gummy bears at the point of when you would add your cheese. For us, it’s usually at the end of mixing, going no more than the final 60 seconds.
Disaster rating:This one was a bigger miss than it was a hit, for sure! It really depended on the color of gummy bear you would bite into. Some had a somewhat sweet and sour flavor, others tasted like cough syrup. So overall this was a disaster, just not as big of one as we expected. Our expectations were that we would have to clean up gummy bears off the grill, so that’s a little win I suppose.

Trail Mix Snack Sticks!
In this segment we take big swings at recipes that could either be amazing or disgusting! Today we are taking a snack stick, adding pumpkin seeds, mixed nuts, raisins, cranberries and mini M&Ms
Prep Time3-6 hours (including smoking)
Cook TimeUntil Internal Temperature was 160 Degrees
IngredientsPork
Utensils Needed
Snack Stick Seasoning
Mixed Nuts
Craisins
Mini M&Ms
Pumpkin SeedsMeat Grinder
Instructions
Sausage Stuffer
Grill/Smoker or OvenFollow the normal process for making a snack stick but add ingredients for your style of trail mix. If you add M&Ms add them during the last 60 seconds of mixing to prevent the color from being washed off the candy coating.
Disaster rating: 1-10 where 10 is the worstThis was a 1, maybe a 2 and that is only because we added the pumpkin seeds and they had some crunchiness to them that we didn’t care for. Other than that, these were awesome and did not last long! We maybe would have added more M&Ms as the sweetness from that really stood out. Also, we used the Cranberry Summer Sausage Seasoning but there are plenty of others that would have worked just as well.

Mixing Seasonings RecipeTitle
In this segment we take big swings at recipes that could either be amazing or disgusting! Today we tried making a 10 lb batch of sausage using 10 different sausage seasonings, we call it the Frankenbrat!
Prep Time60 Minutes
Cook Time10 Minutes
Ingredients10 lb Ground Pork
Nutrition Information for Pork Butt 228 calories 16 grams fat 20 grams protein 0 grams carbohydrate 16 oz Serving Utensils Needed
10 different sausage seasonings
Collagen or Hog CasingsMeat Grinder
Instructions Grind pork twice, first through a 3/8" plate and then through either a 3/8" plate again or through a 3/16" plate for a finer sausage. Measure out each seasoning for 1 lb of meat. Divide seasoning weight by the batch size (usually 25) and that will be enough seasoning for 1 lb of meat. Stuff sausage into either collagen or hog casings. Grill or cook in the oven until internal temp is 160° and serve hot Disaster rating:
Sausage Stuffer
Grill/Smoker or OvenThis was a very low disaster rating, meaning it was good! Every bite seemed to have a different flavor and while some of the bites were interesting nothing was close to bad. In fact, this would be a fun way to use up some extra seasoning you have! So, if you are looking to try something different give the Frankenbrat a try!
